Mondraker Zendit: Meet the New S and R Avinox powered eMTBs
The Mondraker Zendit family is expanding. The new Zendit S and Zendit R join the existing RR, RR S and XR, bringing two new ways into Mondraker’s long-travel, Avinox-powered electric mountain bike range.
With the S priced at £5,999 and the R at £6,799, the new additions combine an 800Wh battery, mixed-wheel setup and enduro-focused suspension travel with lower prices than the existing models. Here’s what the platform is all about, and how to choose between the builds.
The Zendit platform
At the heart of the Zendit is Mondraker’s Forward Geometry, its Updated Zero Suspension System and an integrated Avinox drive system. Across these five models, you get 170mm of suspension travel up front, 165mm at the rear and an 800Wh battery.
Each uses a mixed-wheel, or “mullet”, layout: a 29-inch front wheel paired with a 27.5-inch rear. It’s a combination aimed squarely at demanding trails, technical climbs and committed descents.
The new S and R introduce an important construction difference. Both pair a Stealth Air Carbon front triangle with a Stealth Alloy rear triangle. The existing RR, RR S and XR use Stealth Air full-carbon frames, so the newcomers aren’t simply the same frame with a different component package.

Meet the new Zendit S, £5,999
The Zendit S is the most accessible model in this five-bike line-up, while retaining the platform’s long-travel layout and substantial battery capacity.
Its Avinox M2S motor and 800Wh battery are paired with a RockShox ZEB Base fork and Super Deluxe Select rear shock. SRAM 70 Eagle T-Type 12-speed gearing uses a conventional trigger shifter, while SRAM Maven Base four-piston brakes and 200mm rotors take care of braking.
Mavic E-Access XR30 wheels feature 30mm internal-width aluminium rims, with a Maxxis Assegai front tyre and Minion DHR II rear. An X-Fusion Manic TA dropper post completes the build.
The S comes in Optic White or Obsidian Grey, with Small, Medium, Medium/Large, Large and X-Large options.
Our take: choose the S if you want the Zendit’s suspension travel, Avinox M2S drive system and 800Wh battery at the lowest price in the range, and you’re happy with mechanical shifting.

Meet the new Zendit R, £6,799
The Zendit R shares the S’s carbon-front, alloy-rear construction, Avinox M2S motor, 800Wh battery and 170/165mm travel. The extra £800 changes several key parts of the build.
A Fox 38 Float GRIP Performance fork and Fox Float X Performance rear shock replace the S’s RockShox suspension. Shifting moves to wireless SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS T-Type, operated through an Eagle AXS Pod Controller.
The R also brings DT Swiss Hybrid H 1900 SPLINE wheels and an Onoff Pija dropper post. SRAM Maven Base four-piston brakes, 200mm rotors and the Maxxis Assegai/Minion DHR II tyre combination remain.
Colour choices are Ionite Blue and Greyhound Grey, with the same five sizes from Small through X-Large.
Our take: the R is worth a close look if wireless shifting, Fox suspension and the DT Swiss wheel package are high on your wish list.

How do the existing Zendit models compare?
The Zendit RR, £7,399, brings full-carbon frame construction, a Fox 38 GRIP X2 Factory Kashima fork and a Fox Float X Factory Kashima rear shock. SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS shifting and DT Swiss Hybrid H 1900 SPLINE wheels round out the package. At £600 above the new R, it makes frame construction and suspension specification particularly worthwhile comparison points.
The Zendit RR S, £9,299, steps up to a Fox Podium GRIP X2 Factory Kashima fork, paired with a Fox Float X Factory rear shock. SRAM X0 Eagle AXS shifting, Maven Silver brakes and a Fox Transfer Factory dropper distinguish this premium build.
The Zendit XR, £10,999, tops this line-up with a Fox Podium Factory fork, Float X2 Factory rear shock, Maven Ultimate brakes, carbon DT Swiss rims and a RockShox Reverb AXS dropper. It also includes an Avinox 12A charger, compared with the 4A chargers listed for the other four models.
The new S and R specifically feature the Avinox M2S motor. The existing RR, RR S and XR listings describe their motor as an Avinox Drive Unit, so check the individual model’s specification rather than assuming every Zendit has an identical motor.
Which Zendit is right for you?
Start with the equipment you actually want, rather than simply working up the price list.
The S offers the lowest entry price and mechanical shifting. The R adds wireless AXS gearing alongside its Fox Performance suspension and DT Swiss wheel package. The RR introduces full-carbon construction and Factory-level Fox suspension, while the RR S and XR take the component specification further.
All five offer a Medium/Large size between Medium and Large. That gives you another fit option, but size labels alone don’t tell the whole story. Talk to us about your height, riding style and current bike before choosing.
